Miles Nelson Breaks Carmel Mayoral Fundraising Records
(Carmel, IN) – Pre-primary campaign finance reports filed April 14 show Miles Nelson broke the record for the most raised by a Democrat in the history of Carmel and prove he’s well positioned to enter the General Election with a healthy and growing six-figure cash on hand number.
Prior to now, no Democrat in Carmel has ever finished a reporting period outraising their Republican opponents. Miles raised tens of thousands of dollars more in 2023 than two of his potential opponents, Woody Rider and Fred Glynn, and has more than a $45,000 cash on hand advantage over the third, Sue Finkam.
With no opponent in the May primary election, Miles will continue to build his cash advantage as the Republicans locked in a competitive primary are forced to aggressively spend.
“I’m humbled by the support my neighbors have lent to this campaign,” Miles said, “The broad grassroots support from hundreds of individual donors has proven to the pundits what we’ve known all along – we will win in November and keep Carmel moving forward.”
The next campaign finance reporting period closes on October 13, 2023, with reports due on October 20.
